William Hook

William Hook’s impressionistic handling of acrylic paint has made him one of country’s most notable artists. Through this medium, Hook translates a unique view of the southwest onto canvas. His painting and serigraphs explode with intense colors, hues and pigments in depicting the fields and flowers of northern New Mexico and Arizona. Hook captures the varied shades of flower, plant and field, and weaves them into a tapestry of color and emotion.

Hook studies with well-known artists while attending the Kansas City Art Institute, the University of New Mexico, the Los Angeles Art Center and he also studies in Perugia, Italy. His work is included in distinguished collections worldwide; he was awarded the "Landscape Award of Merit" by the National Park Academy of the Arts.

Below are his serigraphs available at the gallery.
