Jean Beck
Jean Beck, with degrees in Architecture and Interiors, approaches plein air painting with joy. She says, “I love the process of painting on-site, which shows me light and color effects or shadow details that disappear when using photographs. Plein air painting lets me be four years old again, on a picnic; and weather effects and the feel of a place seem better with watercolor.”
As a fourth generation Arizona native, born and raised in Bisbee, Jean is a signature member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild and belongs to the Arizona Watercolor Association and the Tucson Branch of the National League of American Pen Women. Her web site is www.jeanbeckart.com.
